Hail Neil

October 23, 2009

Just when Neil Nitin Mukesh was written off by critics as a good actor but bad dancer he comes back to prove them wrong, and how! After watching him in “Sainya Ve” they are all literally eating their words.

So what’s special about this song from Jail, featuring Neil and Mugdha Godse? For one, the choreography is refreshing. So relaxed, so normal, and still so enjoyable. No doubt the song itself is phenomenal.

And the surprise package is Neil, who looks so comfortable, and so chilled out, like he’s enjoying every moment of the dancing. Handsome he is, no doubt, but look at him dance in this song and you’ll fall in love in love with him! Mugdha on the other hand looks like she had no choice but to be there, and would much rather go home and watch Fashion.

Poetry in motion

It’s Blue Blue everywhere… trailers on television, news on the internet and songs on FM stations. Blue has created quite a stir. Take this song for example “Aaj Dil Gustakh Hai”. Watch it here:

Everything about the song is delightful. The location of course is gorgeous. Lara Dutta is looking like a million bucks. Sanjay Dutt looks a little old, but stylish nevertheless.

Check out Lara and Sanjay running around getting naughty on the beach. Look at their underwater antics with the dolphins. I loved the colourful kite as well. And what do you have to say about the red sari with the red bikini in the gorgeous blue water?

Mind blowing choreography by Farah Khan. Very well conceptualized and executed.  Truly unique and refreshing. For a change we didn’t get to see 100 dancers in the background!

Superhit!

If you liked the title track of Wake Up Sid, you should hear it’s remix version too. Better still watch it here:

What a plethora of colors! A treat for the eyes, and of course the ears.

ranbir

Did you notice the number of dance forms the choreographer has experimented with? Everything’s there, from disco to contemporary, hip hop to typical Bollywood kinda stuff. Yet at no point does it look like a mish-mash. Perfectly executed by Ranbir Kapoor. Whatever the fate of his film Wake Up Sid might be, this song is a chartbuster!
